An understanding of anniversary clock parts is necessary for anyone who owns this item. If some components have to be replaced, it is essential that you know something about the device and its internal workings.
The Pendulum
The clock runs because of the pendulum. The earliest models use a flat disc pendulum, but the newer models have the torsion pendulum installed. In some models, the pendulum swings side to side, but the torsion pendulum twirls around.
The Torsion Spring
The torsion spring is where the pendulum is connected to. The spring is similar to a rope. The spring functions like a high wire but without the flexibility. The movement will be clockwise and then counterclockwise. The rotation does not vary.
The Pieces of the Suspension Spring
When analyzing the anniversary clock parts, the spring pieces of the suspension spring will have to be assessed. The primary piece is the spring. The other piece is the brass block connected on the top where the spring is suspended.
The third component is the brass block located at the lowest point of the spring. It is here that the springs are connected to. The final component is the fork attachment. This is found at the upper portion of the spring.

How the Clock Works

Adjusting this setting will move the weight balls out or in the axis. The closer the ball is to the pendulum, the quicker the clock will be.
A single oscillation of the torsion will last from 12 to 20 seconds. The escapement mechanism alters the rotational movement of the device’s gears. There is also a crutch device that engages a two arm lever. These arms on the other hand, make contact with the escape wheel teeth.
When the anchor lets go of the escape wheel tooth, the lever moves. Using the crutch, a slight twist is set to the torsion spring top. This makes the clock move.
